Internship postings
We strongly encourage Computer Science students to pursue internship opportunities.
- An internship will give you practical experience that is valued by prospective employers.
- You may meet your capstone experience requirement in the CS major through an internship.
- One of the best ways for you to identify internships is by attending our Board of Advisors meetings, held once per semester on campus.
- The SUNY Potsdam Internship Program Office will help you to identify internship opportunities and to arrange for getting academic credit for your internship experience.
- AfterCollege, Inc., has arranged with our department to provide a Job Resource Center with listings of internship and job opportunities appropriate to CS students.
- Most CS internships are paid!
- Haden Land, a 1984 CIS alumnus and an employee of Lockheed Martin, has endowed a scholarship for CS students who engage in off-campus internships in aerospace-related companies. The sholarship provides financial assistance for living expenses during the internship period.
The internships posted here come primarily from our alumni and faculty contacts. They are intended to supplement the Internship Program Office postings.

Also, I have a need for a graphics programmer on a separate project. Please contact me if you are interested. This project involves an interactive 3-D graphic. Very interesting and challenging. Please call me if you are interested. Thank you.
Internship
Greetings Potsdam Bears! I am an alum that graduated in 1990 and I would like to give a Potsdam student an opportunity to create a business website that will be used as designed by you.
I am an attorney and general contractor. I need two websites- one for each business; a law practice and a construction company. I need a professional appearance with contact information, minor interactive features, and a few pages featuring additional information such as types of services and qualifications. I have designed a draft website in Microsoft Publisher to track the marketing of my brochures. I would like the designed website to parallel my marketing theme.
If you are interested please let me know as I will be requiring at least an initial website to be created fairly quickly, and if needed, updated later. You can reach me by email at pkelly68@comcast.net or by telephone 904-226-8128. Please reference the subject line as "Potsdam internship" so my spam filter lets you through. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you. Paul J. Kelly
